The Dark Wave is an Amsterdam-based new wave band founded in 2019 by Erwin van der Zee and Pepijn Grimmelikhuizen. After early years focusing on classic post-punk covers, the band shifted to original music in 2023 with new singer-songwriter Jelmer Luimstra. They recorded their debut singles, Seventeen and One of These Days, in late 2024, set to release under Walboomers Music. The band continues to perform in the Netherlands and Belgium.
