Ras Karbi releases ‘Longing For Your Touch’

Ras Karbi was born on the Island of Jamaica. After graduating from the Jamaica School of Art, he was awarded scholarships by The Brooklyn Museum Art School in New York, and later by the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. Here he studied sculpture and acting while pursuing a degree in music at Brown University. His newest single ‘Longing For Your Touch’ was written in 1978 and recorded in 1981 with The Wailers at Tuff Gong, while Bob Marley underwent medical treatment in Germany. The song features backing vocals by members of The Wailers, harmonica by Cat Core (Third World), and a guitar solo by Junior Marvin. ‘Longing For Your Touch’ is one of the last two songs The Wailers recorded before Marley's death on May 11th, 1981.
