DIESE MBANGUE
Diese Mbangue, whose real name is Fils Mbangue, is a multi-talented Cameroonian artist: singer, composer, bassist, guitarist, producer, sound and lighting technician, cultural entrepreneur, and event organizer. For several years, he has been developing a musical universe that is rich, authentic, and deeply rooted. This artistic richness is the result of his African origins, his experiences in Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Morocco, and Belgium, as well as his varied musical influences: Fela Kuti, Richard Bona, Seal, James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Wes Madiko, and many others. Diese Mbangue's musical universe is defined by a fusion he calls “Afro Pop”: a clever mix of traditional African rhythms and modern influences such as pop, house, disco, soul, funk, jazz, blues, afrobeat, and world music. He composes, writes, and co-produces his own songs. He sings mainly in Banen, his mother tongue—one of the 237 languages of Cameroon—which allows him to convey his emotions with sincerity, stay connected to his identity, and offer sincere and original music. After living in Morocco for several years, Diese founded his band Mussango, with soul and Afro influences. With this band, he participated in prestigious festivals and events such as Jazzablanca, Visa For Music, the French Institute of Morocco, and many others. He then created Diese'com, an artistic booking and musical entertainment company for hotels, restaurants, and private events. He performs regularly at renowned venues such as La Mamounia in Marrakech and the Radisson Blu, where he refines his art and develops his skills in cultural management. Diese Mbangue is an artist who puts people at the heart of his artistic approach. Through his music and events, he seeks to create connections, spread light, and open spaces for joy, reflection, and emotion. He likes to say, "I don't just make music. I build bridges between people, I tell stories, I open my heart, and I try to bring light where there is darkness."
